Did anyone review for editing? By page 9 I had already come across 8 mistakes! In addition, the book reads like a report written by a middle school child. If you are pre-college and just want a pre-101 with a minor touch of 101 level knowledge, this is the book for you...minus all the distracting mistakes. But if you ignore them, you could learn a thing or two. If you already had a basic concept of what a nonprofit is and were hoping to get an actual startup guide with a good break down on how to actually start one up, where you can find forms, what rules are pretty standard and what rules aren't standard but might still apply, what tax breaks are available under what circumstances, etc., then this is not the right book for you. I'd ask for my money back if it weren't only $3. I feel like the author could use the $3 towards hiring an editor/proofreader for his next book. Valiant effort, but at least complete the very simplistic due diligence required of an author...check your work!Product details

Nonprofit Startup Guide for Beginners Easy Steps for Fundraising from Small to Success (Audible Audio Edition) Raymond Garner Brendan T Stallings Books Reviews
This book was straight to the point. Loved it and grateful for how short and precise it was! Great read.
I found this book to be poorly written and the content not worthy of book treatment. Not recommended.
Very poorly written with lots of typos and grammatical errors. Not at all a sufficient overview of starting a nonprofit. Poorly organized with superficial, irrelevant suggestions.
It is good just not as specific as I was looking for.
Should not be allowed to be called a book. I should have checked the page count first 44 pages!
It's more like an expensive pamphlet written by someone who couldn't afford an editor.
Great book to read! Starting and running a business requires a thorough knowledge. This book gives a good overall view about the different types of non-profit organizations, addressing their many facets, particularly their legal and tax shelter privileges and all the responsibilities that come with these advantages. or anyone who doesn’t know anything about the requirements to starting a non-profit organization, this book can be a good primer. Recommended!
This reference shares simple and easy to understand guidelines on how to build and run an efficient non-profit organization. It highlights the importance of a strategic plan, a clear and unwavering mission statement and a strong and passionate purpose. The importance of staffing and volunteers especially in the first years of operation, Fundraising and Grants wherein Transparency is incredibly important. Tips in marketing and attracting donors to keep funds coming in. I must say that this book is thorough, pretty quick overview on the essentials of non-profit organization.
